Working together to support, enrich and inspire our pupils

At Leigh & Bransford Primary School, we are proud to be at the heart of a caring and active community. We believe that strong partnerships — with families, local organisations, and our Multi Academy Trust — help every child to thrive.

Part of the MET Family

We are proud members of the Mercian Education Trust (MET), a family of schools working together to provide the very best opportunities for pupils across the region.
Being part of MET allows us to:

  • Share expertise and best practice with other schools
  • Offer professional development and collaboration for staff
  • Access wider learning opportunities and resources for pupils
  • Contribute to a strong network of schools focused on excellence and inclusion

Through this partnership, our pupils benefit from a broader curriculum, joint events and shared values that place learning, wellbeing and community at the centre of everything we do.

Our PTFA – Parents, Teachers and Friends Association

Our PTFA plays a vital role in school life. It brings together parents, carers, staff and friends of the school to raise funds, organise events and strengthen our sense of community.

Regular PTFA activities include:

  • Seasonal fairs, discos and family events
  • Fundraising for new equipment and learning resources
  • Supporting trips, visitors and experiences for pupils

The PTFA’s enthusiasm and hard work make a huge difference to our school — and to the experiences of every child here. New members and volunteers are always warmly welcomed!

Links with Local Businesses and the Wider Community

We value the strong connections we have with local businesses, charities and community organisations. These partnerships help bring learning to life and show pupils how their skills and knowledge apply in the real world.

Local businesses have supported us by:

  • Sponsoring school events and fundraising activities
  • Providing resources or expertise for projects
  • Offering workshops, talks and learning experiences for pupils

We are always keen to build new partnerships that benefit both our pupils and the community.

Working Together for the Future

Our community links help us nurture confident, responsible and compassionate young people who understand the importance of contributing to society.

By working together — families, school, local organisations and our Trust — we create a supportive network that ensures every child has the opportunity to succeed and flourish.
